Our Story
The beginnings
See it and fall in love - that's how it all began. In 2002 the Szász family purchased the current site, where an old house and a barn stood alone. Later they gathered houses doomed to decay from the surrounding valleys and rebuilt them, faithfully preserving their original form. Operating since 2008, the Skanzen is the result of rescuing 14 old farmhouses. The place is a village museum that also serves as accommodation and an event venue. It's an ideal setting for weddings, camps and corporate events.
Our facilities
The grounds feature a huge event barn (seating 220), a covered outdoor terrace, a watermill, a museum and a chapel — all in a beautiful natural setting. In addition, a hot-water tub (for 10), a sauna and a wine cellar await guests looking to unwind.
